Tumen Khaan yurt camp

Tumen Khaan Ger camp is located at the heart of the Gorkhi-Terelj national park. This beautiful camp is actually located only 3 kilometers (1.8 miles) West from the village of Terelj.

With an incredible view on the rocky formations surrounding the area, and the hills and forests around, it is already a little piece of the park that is accessible on foot from the camp. It takes about 2 hours drive from Ulan Bator to the camp.

Organization of the camp:

20 yurts can welcome up to 60 people in this camp. They are fully furnished the traditional way, and comfortable. The camp hosts also a building for toilets and showers, and a dedicated restaurant will serve travelers with varied meals (vegetarian also) for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Some other activities can be organized from the camp:

• Rent horses for a pony trek in the park
• Hikes from the camp with a local guide
• Rental of bicycles for a different experience

Lastly the real benefit of the camp is that it is located very close to the village of Terelj. Then, within minutes of the main road leading you back to Ulan Bator, it is one of the best places to spend some short (but quality) time at the countryside.
